9 days Uganda birding safari takes you to explore Uganda that is home to more than 1081 bird species in Africa, birds there can be viewed for their beauty and calls. The Uganda Birding Safari will open your eyes to some of the hottest birds in Mabamba bay; after this we continue to other big spots for birds. The best chance of seeing the huge solitary bird that resembles a dinosaur is at mabamba swamp where there is the shoebill stock.

DAY 1: Mabamba Swamp Excursion
From your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to Mabamba Swamp located by Lake Victoria. The whole day will involve spotting various bird species mainly the rare shoebill among others like African pygmy goose, black crake or African fish eagle.to mention but a few.
DAY 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Travel west after breakfast this morning. Arrive at Murchison Falls National Park, check into your lodge and enjoy an evening birding session around the camp and savannah areas.
DAY 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Starting early in the morning for a time of birds watching where sometimes lions hyenas as well as leopards engage in active hunting behaviour could be witnessed. After lunch take a boat cruise down the Nile River towards Murchison Falls, spotting birds such as black-headed plover or red-throated bee-eater among others along its shorelines.
Day 4: Strolling On A Boat Downstream Toward The Nile Delta
Enjoy another boat cruise upstream to the Nile Delta and Victoria Falls. Discover this abundant birding area by spotting birds like the African Skimmer, Fisher Eagle, Malachite Kingfisher, and even the remarkable Shoebill! Go back to the lodge for an evening game drive and more birding activities.
Day 5 :Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, set off for Kibale National Park while enjoying birdwatching beside different kinds of wildlife and nature throughout.
Day 6: Birding in Kibale and Chimp Trekking (Optional)
Start your day at Kibale National Park headquarters with a birding briefing including forest walks. Come across several species of birds? You might also want to trek chimpanzees if you’d like. Later visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where there are varieties of both avian life and primates.
DAY 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, observing birds and local activities en route. Arrive at the park for evening birding and savannah experiences.
DAY 8: Morning Birding and Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Start up early morning birdwatching drive through Kasenyi plains where you will see many species of birds as well as some wildlife animals too. Then take a boat ride down Kazinga channel famous among other things for a great number of bird types that includes Hammerkops, Fish-eagles as well as many types of water birds.
DAY 9: Departure
Check out of your lodge and depart for Kampala, concluding your memorable Uganda birding safari.
