Among the various tribes in Uganda are the Batwa of southwestern Uganda and the Ike people of the Karamojong region. The Batwa are the most frequented by foreign tourists due to their proximity to Bwindi National Park and Mgahinga National Park in Kisoro, renowned for their gorilla trekking opportunities. Alternatively, the Ike people fascinate visitors with their traditional pastoralist lifestyle, despite living in a modern era.
Other prominent tribes that can be encountered on safari include the Baganda, Batooro, and Banyankole, adding to the cultural diversity of the Ugandan experience.
